Fawkes & Reece have teamed up with a leading main contractor on the search for a Head of Logistics, which will be a senior role on a major project in London.

This is a lead role working for a leading contractor who is making great strides in the main contracting market at the moment on some very impressive projects in London. Due to this, they now need to appoint a very experienced Head of Logistics to work on a major scheme.

The Head of Logistics will report into the Project Director and ideally have over 10 years of experience in a similar role. This is a strategic role overseeing a combination of logistics suppliers or an in-house team of logistics managers and operatives.

The Head of Logistics will be responsible for all logistics on a major project which will be in excess of £500 million. We are looking for someone who can strategize and implement efficient logistics to support the build programme. The Head of Logistics will have experience with large volumes of transport and materials, including consolidation centres and JIT logistics.

This person will also have commercial acumen to manage the commercial aspects of logistics and drive best value, managing resources against the plan. They will oversee key materials and all plant on site in conjunction with the construction team.
