What you'll do
This role will be a key strategic pillar of the marketing and sales strategy and team and will set the direction of AFI's ambitious growth goals to drive both sales and revenue through new business distribution channels.
This role combines trading excellence, leadership, senior stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making to develop, execute, and measure AFI's New Business Trading in a mature and saturated market.
To give you an idea of what to expect, you'll be:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive new business growth strategy across core trading channels.
- Ownership of new business trading numbers, working closely with SLT and HoDs to drive forward our trading performance.
- Contractual and CPA negotiations.
- Ownership of all Below the Line channels inc. PPC, SEO, etc - strategy and budget.
- Drive and optimise performance of direct channel, developing a strategy to target new customers and optimise channels, maximise ROI/ROAS.
- Deliver digital strategies in line with business objectives and KPIs whilst maximising ROI and LTV.
- Ensure the budget is fully optimised across all channels increasing clickthrough and conversion.
- Drive the growth of web traffic and direct sales.
- Set digital strategies and measurable objectives for all below the line channels.
- Accountable for the Google Joint Business plan.
- Keep abreast of, and consider, data and privacy regulations and considerations across all activity.
- Ensure that financial promotions are fair, clear and not misleading and deliver good outcomes.
- Analyse marketing data and user feedback to shape future trading strategies.
- Ownership of the new business performance updates and monthly reporting.
- Ownership of weekly trading updates, to drive understanding of our market performance.
- Co-Ownership of our Growth Steer Co working group with Head of Retention.
Who you are
- Excellent leadership and team development.
- Experience of Personal Lines distribution channels and strategy.
- Extensive knowledge of PPC, SEO.
- Proven experience of Marketing Measurements.
- Experience of using analytics and attribution.
- Experience of managing, tracking and optimising a marketing budget.
- Experience in driving online sales and exceeding lead generation targets.
- Analytical and detail-oriented.
- Able to easily work from home with a quiet space and good internet connection.
