Head of Policy, Partnerships and Cohesion

The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a Head of Policy, Partnerships, and Cohesion to lead on Corporate Policy and deliver the Council's Corporate Plan. This high-profile role demands professional and expert leadership, providing advice on corporate policy, partnership, and cohesion-related activities. The successful candidate will personally lead major cross-council projects through the implementation of agreed policies, directing the strategic development of the Council's approach to diversity and community cohesion.

The successful candidate will have:

1. Understanding and awareness of the political processes in local Government.
2. Knowledge of committee and constitutional affairs in local Government.
3. Awareness of major policy issues facing local Government and major trends in policy.
4. Experience of successful community leadership, engagement and multi-agency community projects and services that improve service delivery to provide the best outcomes for communities and residents.
5. Experience of creating partnerships across internal and external stakeholders at a strategic and operational level.
