Head of Portfolio Management

We anticipate offering between £80,000 - £100,000 (DOE)

Derby, Warrington, OR Manchester offices - Hybrid working flexibility

We are now recruiting for a Head of Portfolio Management,to be involved in delivering an industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of nuclear power station.

What we're looking for

The Head of Portfolio Management is responsible for optimising the portfolio of SMR projects. This role ensures alignment with functional objectives by overseeing data quality, performance metrics, and resource allocation across the portfolio.

  • Develop and maintain a standard suite of portfolio tools & dashboards to provide visibility over programme performance.
  • Provision a forward-looking, data-driven service to the Programme Directorate, including detailed analytics and decision-making information at a portfolio level.
  • Own the portfolio data hub.
  • Manage change and impact to the portfolio of work across the Programme Directorate
  • Own the Portfolio of cost management across the Programme Directorate
  • Ensure data quality and governance standards are met across the portfolio.
  • Provide insights to support resource allocation and strategic decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement in portfolio management practices.

Key measures for results

  • Driven continuous improvement activities in a programme setting (incl. within reporting).
  • Improved portfolio performance through enhanced data quality and reporting.
  • Delivered actionable insights to optimise resource allocation and programme outcomes.

Training & Qualification requirements

  • Degree-qualified in project management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in portfolio management methodologies (e.g., MoP, PfMP).
  • Experience in portfolio management roles within regulated industries.
