Head of Actuarial Reporting & Insights

Location: North East or South West England, hybrid
Salary: Highly competitive salary, well above 6-figures. Generous pension and company shares (ask for details)

A top Insurer are looking for an individual to lead the Financial Reporting team, driving excellence and providing insights/ analysis across the business. This individual will have significant influence on the strategic direction of the team.

You will use the reporting insights for the wider good of the business, executing change and having the opportunity to autonomously transform the reporting business from system changes, people management, culture, M&As, and process. A real LEADER with GRAVITAS is needed for this role.

The role:

• Lead the strategic direction of the reporting team (30ppl), executing change and bridging communication between the group functions
• Understanding the drivers behind the data from reporting insights, and implementing changes as a result
• Manage your direct reports (a number of Senior managers)
• Recommend financial judgements

• FIA with multiple years experience leading an actuarial team
• IFRS and SII reporting expert
• Experience across the full range of reporting metrics- protection, bulk annuities, individual annuities (pricing, asset or reporting side)
• Change execution background would be desirable
• Proven leader, good decision maker and sophisticated communicator
