Do you want to be part of a national network supporting the delivery of health and care research across England? Are you an experienced leader with specialist knowledge and credibility in strategic workforce development planning and learning methodologies? Can you role model organisational stewardship and have a track record of driving transformation?

Working across the RDN and beyond, including colleagues in the RRDNs, you will lead delivery of the RDN commitments in government strategies and initiatives related to research delivery workforce development.

You will be responsible for leading the Research Delivery Workforce Development team to enable the development and delivery of workforce strategy, plans and approaches to build the research capacity and capability of research delivery staff to optimise research delivery in all settings. This includes existing schemes and initiatives as well as working with stakeholders to co-design a range of new interventions to embed strategic change.

What we offer in return:

  1. 26 days holiday plus approx. 16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) - That's 42 days a year!
  2. Generous pension scheme plus life assurance - the University contributes 14.5% of salary
  3. Health and Wellbeing: Discounted staff membership options at The Edge, our state-of-the-art Campus gym, with a pool, sauna, climbing wall, cycle circuit, and sports halls.
  4. Personal Development: Access to courses run by our Organisational Development & Professional Learning team.
  5. Access to on-site childcare, shopping discounts, and travel schemes are also available.
  6. And much more!
