Key ObjectiveAs we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced, results-driven Head of Sales Operations to support our Growth Director in accelerating business expansion and enhancing our sales strategies.
As Head of Sales Operations, you will be responsible for developing and executing a structured outbound sales strategy that exceeds annual sales targets while ensuring the sales pipeline is scalable, predictable, and high-performing. You will refine outbound sales tactics, improve our internal processes, and set structured outbound targets to drive client acquisition.
This role is ideal for a proactive sales leader who thrives on setting and achieving ambitious targets, optimising sales processes, and leading a team to exceed commercial goals.
Core Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Pipeline ManagementIdentify and explore new business opportunities through outbound sales, also supporting the Growth Director across partnerships, industry events, referrals and affiliate programs.
Develop a structured outbound sales strategy, setting funnel targets to drive consistent and scalable lead generation and client acquisition.
Own and refine the agency's sales pipeline, ensuring a robust forecasting approach that enables the team to meet and exceed annual revenue targets.
Work with the Growth Director to improve pitch win rates by refining proposal processes, sales messaging, and ICP alignment to increase conversion success.
Leverage data and CRM insights to optimise targeting and sales performance, ensuring we attract high-value clients and increase deal sizes.
Collaborate with the Growth Director to set and implement sales targets, KPIs, and commission plans that drive accountability and performance.
Own and manage HubSpot as the central CRM, ensuring the entire sales pipeline is accurately tracked, automated, and optimised.
Develop and implement structured lead tracking systems, ensuring visibility across outbound, inbound, and referral sales channels.
Automate sales workflows within HubSpot, improving efficiency across lead nurturing, follow-ups, and pipeline forecasting.
Establish clear performance metrics for pipeline health, ensuring regular reporting on lead conversion rates, win/loss analysis, and revenue forecasting.
Performance Reporting & Strategic InsightsPrepare and deliver regular sales performance reports, ensuring insights on pipeline health, forecasted revenue, and lead conversion rates are shared with senior leadership.
Develop and implement data-driven metrics to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts, using insights to refine strategies.
Assess the impact of marketing campaigns on lead generation and conversion rates, ensuring continuous optimisation of sales outreach efforts.
Training & Line ManagementWorking closely with the Growth Director and Operations Director, you will build a scalable 'growth machine' that ensures consistent, high-quality lead generation and conversion. You will mentor and develop the Growth team, embedding best-in-class sales practices, pipeline management, and outreach strategies to maximise success.
Develop, mentor, and inspire the Growth team, ensuring continuous professional development and high sales performance.
Manage talent and performance within the sales team, including talent spotting, succession planning, and future-proofing the team structure.
Run regular sales training, coaching sessions, and performance reviews, embedding best-in-class sales outreach and negotiation skills.
Work closely with the Operations Director to ensure sales processes, automation, and workflows are scalable and fully optimised for efficiency.
Partner with the Marketing team to align sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring lead generation strategies are targeted and measurable.
Support industry presence at key events, roundtables, and conferences, identifying opportunities for brand positioning and high-value networking.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
Proven experience in sales leadership within a digital marketing agency (SEO, PPC, Digital PR, or similar).
Track record of exceeding annual revenue targets, with expertise in pipeline management and CRM (HubSpot preferred).
Strong commercial acumen, with experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning.
Strategic sales mindset, with the ability to refine messaging, tailor proposals, and improve win rates.
Ability to mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a results-driven culture.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and potential clients.
Strong analytical skills, using data to refine sales strategy and drive continuous performance improvement.
