THE GIG

This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the Group's financial risk management. The Head of Treasury will be a proactive, self-motivated professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver impactful communication across all levels and functions of the organisation.

As our Head of Treasury, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership to the Treasury team, coaching and mentoring direct reports; also, acting as deputy for the Group Treasurer.
  • Managing the Group's Foreign Exchange strategy, implementing hedging policies, hedge accounting, and minimising exposures.
  • Supporting debt raising, refinancing, and ensuring covenant compliance.
  • Ensuring timely, cost-effective liquidity management.
  • Executing cash investment strategies with optimal security, liquidity, yield, and diversification.
  • Owning and leading the Treasury technology stack.
  • Identifying other financial risks such as commodity price, interest (including fixed/floating mix) and credit risk, lease-or-buy decisions and develop optimal solutions.
  • Acting as key liaison for banks, legal teams, system providers, and credit rating agencies.
  • Overseeing internal and external Treasury reporting including internal management reporting, regular updates to risk committee/CFO, alongside external statutory accounts (including adherence to Treasury relevant accounting standards such as IFRS 9, IFRS 13, IFRS 16 and IAS 21).
  • Providing financial market intelligence and insights on banking products/services.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

Put simply, for this role the key things we're looking for are:

  • Relevant experience in a corporate treasury function of a listed company.
  • Experienced finance professional with recognised accounting and/or treasury qualifications.
  • Previous exposure across Treasury specific technologies and systems e.g. trading/investment platforms, Bloomberg/Reuters, banking platforms and TMS are desirable.
  • Strong track record of delivering change and business improvement.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
