Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a Head of Youth Justice Service in Southwark. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive strategic development, improve services, and deliver a "child-first" approach within a high-performing Children's Services team.

As the Head of Youth Justice Service, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of 60 staff, overseeing a £3.3m budget. Your responsibilities include modernising youth justice services, meeting statutory requirements, and delivering outstanding outcomes for young people and families.

• Provide leadership for a "child-first" Youth Justice Service.
• Lead the strategic response to adolescent safeguarding and extra-familial harm.
• Oversee performance management, ensuring service readiness for inspections.
• Manage budgets, business planning, and resource allocation effectively.
• Drive service improvements in collaboration with partners across health, police, education, and social care.
• Represent Southwark in policy discussions and planning decisions at London and national levels.

• Professional Qualification: Registered with Social Work England or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of the legal and statutory framework in youth justice.
• Experience in managing statutory youth justice services, performance standards, and policy implementation.
• Strong strategic leadership, resource management, and communication skills.
• Proven commitment to anti-racist and anti-discriminatory practices.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
