Health Safety / CDM Consultant.

Location: Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen

Salary / Benefits: £45,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience plus;

Summary

A world-leading design, engineering and project management organisation are looking to add a Health & Safety Consultant to their regional team based in Scotland.

The role can be based in either the Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Aberdeen Offices and will cover a range of sectors including but not limited to: property, industrial and education.

Responsibilities:

The role is primarily based on the delivery of CDM Services, although experience of delivering additional associated Health & Safety Services could be an advantage.

You will be responsible for delivering a number of roles, which we have established following the introduction of CDM 2015, in all technical and contractual aspects of professional practice while also;

  1. Providing Health & Safety Services on both independent commissions and also to complement our wider project delivery services.
  2. Production of pre-construction information, files and other associated CDM documents.
  3. Ensuring Designer compliance.
  4. Reviewing contractors' documentation.
  5. Interfacing with clients and design teams on a project basis.
  6. Advise clients on procurement options and consultant appointment issues.
  7. Pro-active in business development of the Services within the Region.
  8. Keep updated with current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law.

Requirements:

  1. We require a consultant with suitable and relevant experience, ideally from a design or construction background.
  2. Professional Qualification in Design or Construction.
  3. NEBOSH qualified (ideally Construction Certificate).
  4. Preferable Member of APS / IOSH.
  5. Experience in a similar role.
  6. Good IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  7. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the component parts of CDM2015 and other Health & Safety issues.
  8. Driving Licence.
