Our client is looking for a Highways Maintenance Engineer to lead their highway maintenance projects. This is an exciting contract opportunity to work on crucial footway and carriageway schemes within the London Borough.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing maintenance operations for highway infrastructure, including footways and carriageways
2. Planning and managing maintenance schedules and activities
3. Ensuring all projects meet regulatory and safety standards
4. Co-ordinating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure project efficiency
5. Conducting site inspections and assessments
6. Preparing detailed reports and documentation for maintenance activities
7. Providing technical guidance and support to the maintenance team
8. Liaising with stakeholders and addressing their concerns and requirements

Job Requirements:

1. Experience in highway maintenance and management
2. Strong knowledge of footway and carriageway maintenance practices
3. Ability to plan and execute maintenance schedules effectively
4. Proven track record in managing maintenance projects within a regulatory framework
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
