ROLE SUMMARY:

An exciting opportunity exists to join our two Inspired Online Schools, Kings InterHigh and Academy21, as a HR Advisor. This is a home-based fully remote role.

King's InterHigh is an independent British international online school, offering Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form education, catering to students from age 7 to 18 who are looking for a high-quality British education delivered in a way that revolves around their lifestyle.

Academy21 provides live, interactive online teaching, working with UK schools and UK local authorities to deliver quality alternative provision, delivered by fully qualified and experienced teaching staff who lead students in real-time lessons.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for all day-to-day HR activities across the UK and APAC. This includes providing expert guidance, coaching, and support to managers on a range of HR topics such as employee relations, talent mapping, and employee engagement. The successful candidate will be a seasoned advisor with strong previous experience in a regulated environment, and will ideally have previous experience working across APAC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide guidance, coaching and support to managers on a range of HR and employee relations issues
  • Manage a range of complex HR and employee relations issues, as well as escalated cases
  • Monitor, review and update all HR policies ensuring these are in line with current legislation
  • Lead business-wide HR projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures and legislation
  • Coordinate and support talent mapping and succession planning processes
  • 3rd party engagement as required with both UK and APAC employment lawyers, service providers, occupational health and HR systems support
  • Support monthly payroll processes
  • Support and coordinate annual salary review processes
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Extensive generalist HR experience, preferably in a regulated environment
  • Proven experience in HR in the UK (and APAC, desirable)
  • Good understanding and knowledge of employment law in the UK (and APAC desirable)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be hands-on and support strategic initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personable and relationship-building capabilities across all levels of the business
  • Highly computer literate with knowledge of HR systems
  • High level of attention to detail, data accuracy, and highly organised
  • Strong understanding of HR best practice
