Job Description

HR Manager (Benefits, Data & Compliance)

6-9 Month Fixed-Term Contract
London City (hybrid working 2 days in office)

Oakleaf are currently partnering with a small, specialist consultancy with a strong purpose behind what they do. They work closely with firms and regulatory bodies on high-profile investigations - the kind of cases you might read about in the news. Think tech, finance, even environmental issues. They're around 50 people in size, with a global reach and a very values-led approach.

As they continue to grow, they're looking for an experienced HR Manager to join the team on a 6-9 month fixed-term contract. This role will support HR operations, focusing on a complete employee benefits rehaul, data and systems, and compliance across their UK, EU, and US offices. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving, mission-driven business where you can really make a difference and put your stamp on things.

Key Duties:

  • Reviewing and improving employee benefits across all office locations
  • Benchmarking benefits against market standards and making recommendations
  • Streamlining payroll, bonus, and reward processes
  • Updating benefit documents and new joiner materials
  • Ensuring compliance with local benefit and tax rules (e.g. HMRC)
  • Managing HR data and systems (recruitment, training, employee files)
  • Reviewing how employee and candidate data is stored and used
  • Supporting with HR reporting and analytics
  • Helping keep policies and procedures up to date and legally compliant
  • Supporting wider HR projects as needed

Skills:

  • Solid experience in HR, particularly around benefits, compliance, and employee data
  • Comfortable working with international offices (UK, Europe, US ideally)
  • Good attention to detail, systems-savvy, and comfortable with spreadsheets and reporting
  • Confident working in a small HR team where you can take ownership
  • Experience in consulting, financial services, or other fast-paced environments is a bonus
  • Someone proactive, professional, and easy to work with

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a purpose-driven business that's truly making a difference. You'll be part of a friendly, smart team where your ideas are valued and your work makes an impact. With interesting international scope, plenty of variety, and the flexibility of hybrid working from a central London base. Please send your CV to: .
