IaaS Software Architect (remote)

We're looking for an IaaS Software Architect to design and develop modular, distributed software architectures for an automated IaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and iterate software architecture for IaaS platform components using a REST-first approach.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and modularity in distributed service architecture.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to align with platform strategy.
• Continuously validate architecture components, keeping documentation up to date.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and observability concepts.

Skills Needed:

• Proven experience in software architecture with ownership across the full life cycle.
• Expertise in modular & distributed system design, highly available systems, and data modelling (Graph & Relational).
• Strong coding skills in Python (experience with frameworks like Pydantic).
• Hands-on knowledge of REST API design, authentication (OAuth/OIDC), and distributed system algorithms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with datacenter networking, VRF, VLAN, VXLAN, hypervisors, Firewalls, and storage.

Languages:

• Fluent English (C1 minimum).

Preferred Skills:

• Golang, C, and advanced Kubernetes (Operator/Controller Design).
