About You

In terms of your experience, your attitude is everything, but we'd particularly love to see your:

  • ISEB/ISTQB Certification in Software Testing - Practitioner.
  • Strong 'delivery' focus, with good awareness and appreciation of client demands and challenges.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Strong communication skills, internally and externally.
  • Experience in coordinating test teams/activities.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in all aspects of MSO software testing, including automation
  • Excellent test analysis skills with the ability to work in a non-scripted environment
  • Good knowledge of delivery and quality processes, across all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Understanding of different software development methodologies and approaches and the role that testing plays within them.

What will you be doing

  • Work closely with members of the MSO Client programme team to fully understand the functional and business requirements of a client's implementation.
  • Lead implementation test campaigns, taking ownership of the design, planning, execution and quality assurance of the deliverables as well as leading the defect management activities for that campaign
  • Design test strategies for all aspects of testing required - adhering to the overall MSO Implementations Test Strategy.
  • Execute testing in accordance with the delivery schedule, including both manual testing and the use of automated testing tools.
  • Report on progress during test campaigns and contribute towards client-facing test completion reports.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of automated regression suites.
  • Provide input into the assessment of test outcomes and overall quality measures for a test campaign, helping stakeholders make key delivery decisions and assess risks/issues.
  • Engagement with clients, supporting their triage activities (similarly 3rd parties where appropriate) where required
  • Establishing efficiencies and de-duplication of test activities across the Product Delivery and Client Implementation phase, providing input into the development of the Implementation test approach.
  • Manage issues and risks proactively, escalating where appropriate to the Client Implementation workstream leads.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring realistic achievable targets are set and managed.
  • As required, provide client consultancy and represent MSO off-site with clients.
  • Actively supporting continual improvements, standardisation across clients, establishing efficiencies and optimising Implementation and Support processes
