Information Technology Architect

We are looking for a Junior IT Architect to join a dynamic team in Brussels on a freelance basis. This 12-month contract offers the possibility of extension and an exciting opportunity to work on complex IT architecture projects within a fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and model logical and physical data structures for a diverse application landscape.
• Develop message models for data exchange in a regulated market.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of architecture models across business processes, functional design, and data modeling.
• Maintain and enhance Enterprise Architecture modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect).

Your Profile

• 2+ years of experience in business process modeling, functional design, data modeling, or application architecture.
• Certification or strong knowledge of UML, BPMN, ArchiMate, or ER diagrams.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
• Familiarity with B2B data exchange standards (XML Schema, WSDL, SOAP, JSON).
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch or French (spoken & written) and a good understanding of the other language.
• Proficiency in technical English (B2 level or higher).

Work Conditions

• Location: Hybrid work model - a mix of remote work and on-site presence in Brussels.
• Full-time freelance contract (100%) - Availability required for 5 days/week.
• No weekend, evening, or night shifts.
• Start date: ASAP (early start possible).
