Job Description

OUR MISSION

To become the car-changing destination of choice. By combining technology, media and deep automotive expertise, we've turned how people buy, sell, advertise and lease cars on its head.

What started as a simple reviews site is now one of the largest online car-changing destinations in Europe. Last year alone we grew over 50% with nearly £3bn worth of cars bought on site, while £1.8bn of cars were listed for sale through our Sell My Car service.

In 2024 we went big and acquired Autovia - creators of AutoExpress and Evo magazines - doubling our audience overnight. Together we now have one of the biggest YouTube channels in the world with almost 10m subscribers and over 1.1 billion annual views, while we sell 1.2 million print copies of our magazines and have an annual web content reach over 350million.

And we're a long way from done!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. You'll own Driver Power - the UK's automotive consumer survey. You'll communicate Driver Power findings internally and externally, drive usage of the data, and coordinate data collection using panel sample and internal respondents.
  2. You'll be our expert on the car market, tracking key market trends using internal and external data sources.
  3. You'll execute our market research strategy and roadmap - what do we need to know and how do we find out?
  4. You'll provide insights to our partners in the car industry.
  5. You'll run qualitative and quantitative research for our industry partners to help them understand campaign effectiveness, the needs of their audience and sentiment towards their products.
  6. You'll develop a deep understanding of consumer behaviour when it comes to buying, owning, and selling a car. You'll apply a commercial lens to provide insights and recommendations that are aligned with internal objectives and priorities.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Market research experience, including complex survey creation and analysing results.
  2. Some data analysis experience, though we're happy for you to learn on the job.
  3. A proactive attitude and a creative mindset.
  4. Ability to manage and analyse large datasets, crunch numbers, and derive actionable insights.
  5. Effective and clear communication to convey complex insights and recommendations to various stakeholders.
  6. Curiosity and analytical hunger with a strong desire for data, coupled with the drive to understand problems and interpret data effectively.
  7. Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate seamlessly across multiple teams and markets.
  8. Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
