What is the role?

As an Instagram Manager within our Group Brand & Marketing team, you will own our group Instagram page, ideating and creating content that showcases our great culture and talented people. You will work cross-functionally with teams in our corporate and consumer businesses to enhance Howden's brand reach and engagement on Instagram.

To be successful in the role, you will be a confident self-starter who can work independently and in a team. You will bring a creative mindset and a great eye for detail - as skilled at providing direction and giving feedback on created assets as you are at whipping up a story or a graphic yourself.

You will be comfortable navigating a large organisation, collaborating with global stakeholders and working closely with senior leadership. You will be a good listener and relationship manager. You will have a strong understanding of social media practices and can respond quickly to emerging trends in the market.

Our perfect candidate is a bit of a unicorn - an Instagram native with a flair for creative storytelling, who understands the challenges of representing a global B2B business on a social platform.

Please note that this is a full-time, permanent role based in our Central London office. Following a hybrid work pattern, you are expected to be onsite 2-3 days per week on average.

What will you be doing?

  1. Develop day-to-day content plans and oversee content production to ensure high-quality, engaging social media content.
  2. Develop engaging content that resonates with our target audiences on Instagram.
  3. Partner with Marketing teams across the business to align our social messaging and ensure consistent branding across channels.
  4. Plan and implement social media campaigns to meet the strategic channel-specific targets.
  5. Partner with the Group Sponsorship team to identify and support the production of digital Sponsorship content.
  6. Refine and develop our social messaging through a test-and-learn approach.
  7. Track, measure, and optimise social media performance to provide clear and actionable insights to improve content and strategy effectiveness.
  8. Prepare regular reports for senior management to demonstrate ROI and impact.

What are we looking for?

  1. Previous experience in a similar role managing social channels (particularly Instagram) gained either in-house or agency side.
  2. Proven track record in organic Instagram campaign management.
  3. Proven track record of growing a brand through social media and creative storytelling.
  4. Demonstrable experience of hands-on content creation.
  5. Proficiency in social media analytics tools to enable data-driven decision-making.
  6. Knowledge of influencer marketing and strategic partnerships.
  7. Brand marketing experience preferred.
