Interim Financial Controller

Role: Interim Financial Controller

Location: London (Hybrid working - 3 days in office)

Employment Type: 9-month FTC with option to extend

Due to growth, we are looking to hire an additional UK Financial Controller to join an established finance function here at Delta Capita.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, high-energy environment supporting the Group Financial Controller.

• Strong attention to detail and being hands on where necessary.

• Overseeing the month end close process including preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.

• Providing accurate cash forecast and execute treasury strategies to optimize working capital, mitigate financial risks, and maximize investment returns.

• Working closely with the Group FC to develop robust internal controls, processes, procedures, and to document accounting policy to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.

• Working closely with the Head of FP&A to ensure a full understanding of the financials.

• Managing the annual audit, liaising with external auditors to ensure in time completion.

• Managing all group company tax-related matters (VAT, Income, and Corporation tax) and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.

• Supporting private equity investor portfolio reporting whilst also ensuring compliance with financial regulations and bank/private equity investor covenants.

• Leading and developing a team of finance professionals, providing mentorship, guidance and support as needed.

• Ensuring that the knowledge and experience required to carry out the respective functions is adequately represented across the team/region to minimize dependency on individual team members and ensure continuity in the performance of the designated activities.

Skills and Experience Required for This Role:

• Proactivity and demonstrable experience of making an impact on an organisation.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining quality and accuracy.

• Can-do attitude with a hands-on approach.

• Experience producing management and statutory financial statements (P&L, BS, CF).

• Advanced Excel skills and NetSuite experience.

• System implementation experience would be highly advantageous.

• Experience of working in practice desirable.

• Qualified ACCA/ACA.
