Job Description
The International Sales Director will play a central role in driving B2B sales across all global markets. The ideal candidate will excel in strategic sales planning, people management, and navigating the complexities of global markets while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
What you'll do
- Global and Regional Sales Leadership: Develop and execute B2B sales strategies for all markets, with a particular emphasis on Germany, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Germany Market Leadership: Take full responsibility for the sales strategy and execution in Germany, our most important market, ensuring premium positioning and sales performance.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Sales Manager for Germany, and a team of country managers across other markets. Foster a high-performance culture within the team.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with country managers, key stakeholders, and accounts to align global and regional sales objectives.
- Sales Planning and Strategy: Analyse market data and trends to create detailed sales plans, including volume forecasting, buyer class development, and category strategies tailored to each market.
- Key Account Management: Oversee relationships with major accounts, particularly in Germany, ensuring long-term partnerships and alignment with the company's high-price strategy.
- Cultural Adaptability: Effectively navigate cultural differences across markets, adapting strategies and communication styles to fit regional needs.
Who you are
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in international B2B sales, with a proven track record of success in leading sales strategies and managing teams.
- Experience managing sales in Germany and/or other key European markets is highly desirable.
- Strong people management skills, with experience leading country managers and account managers.
- Expertise in sales planning, volume forecasting, and implementing premium pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with category management and differentiation of strategies by market and region.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-management skills, with a collaborative and results-driven mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in English (C1 level) and German (C1 level).
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to adapt to diverse markets and customer behaviours.
