Investment Associate

THESEARCH:

Altus Partners is delighted to be partnering with a leading private equity firm to identify an Investment Associate. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic investment team focused on transforming businesses in the services sectors (tech, business and financial). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in deal execution, portfolio management, and investment research, working within a firm that is highly regarded for its strategic and analytical approach to investing.

THEROLE:

The role includes but is not limited to the following:

Investment Management & Deal Execution

• Support deal origination and execution, assisting in financial modelling, due diligence, and structuring transactions.
• Develop investment theses and participate in key investment processes.
• Conduct rigorous financial analysis and modelling to assess potential investment opportunities.

Portfolio Oversight & Value Creation

• Provide strategic decision-making support to enhance portfolio company performance.
• Assist in preparing board materials and investor reports.
• Monitor financial and operational performance across active investments.

Market Research & Business Development

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new investment opportunities.
• Contribute to idea generation and investment screening.

Work closely with senior leadership on fund deployment strategies.

THEREQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Experience: 3+ years in investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting.
• Analytical Skills: Strong financial modelling and investment analysis capabilities.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to assess business risks, opportunities, and value drivers.
• Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with portfolio company management teams, advisers, and stakeholders.
• Execution Focus: Hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced investment environment.
