About The Job
This is an exciting opportunity for an Investment Senior Manager in a newly created role. As the Investment Senior Manager, you will lead the team responsible for overseeing the company and the Syndicate's investment portfolio and liquidity management. You will play a pivotal role in executing our investment strategy, ensuring the effective management of investments in collaboration with Amlin Investment Management Limited, and overseeing cash flow and liquidity processes. This is a key position with significant responsibility in shaping the direction of our investment activities.
What You'll Spend Your Time Doing
While there is rarely a typical day, here is a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:
- Develop and implement investment strategies to maximize returns and manage risk.
- Oversee the management of the company's investment portfolio by AIML.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of investment portfolios and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Identify new investment opportunities and assess their potential impact on the company's financial position.
- Work with AIML to enhance ESG investment considerations and reduction of carbon emissions.
- Monitor and manage the company's foreign exchange exposures and hedging strategies, including asset liability matching.
- Work to develop and maintain relationships across the MS Amlin actuarial community.
- Deliver and present the required papers to the Investment Committee and Risk & Solvency Committee, in line with their terms of reference.
- Navigate the relationship with Lloyds, understanding communication requirements in order to maintain a good relationship.
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to ensure the availability of funding and optimize banking services.
- Develop and maintain external relationships and knowledge to keep abreast of industry issues affecting investments.

What you'll need
For this particular role we need you to have:
- Significant level of experience in a similar role, including experience in relevant areas such as investment management or investment oversight.
- Qualified actuary or CFA.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver and manage accurate, thoughtful, detail-oriented work within tight deadlines.
- Ability to provide and withstand technical challenge from a wide audience.
- Calmness under workload pressure.
- Organisation and planning skills.

What Can You Expect From Us?
