IT Compliance Manager (Market Abuse - Surveillance)

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for an IT Compliance Manager (Market Abuse - Surveillance) for a 12 Months contract (with likely potential for extension) contract based in London or Manchester (Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office)

Purpose of the Role:

As IT Compliance Manager (Market Abuse - Surveillance) you will sit within Surveillance 2LOD, managing and embedding data controls, onboarding new venues and platforms, assessing their risk exposure based on execution protocol.

Responsibilities of the role:

As a Compliance Manager you will be responsible for:

• Ensure Surveillance has robust and accurate data feeding all surveillance applications, with effective reconciliation and reporting of any data breaks from upstream, to ensure timely reingestion and articulation of the interim risk.
• Work within Surveillance with the client's technology system providers and upstream data sources to understand the data required, ensuring the client has key data elements defined and robust data quality controls in place.
• Identify any gaps, and articulate the risk exposure, owning an action plan and driving resolution forward.
• Drive activities and report on key performance and risk indicators.
• Make sure that all project deliverable satisfy the requirements and that they adhere to the agreed governance framework.

What we require from the candidate:

• Background in Market Abuse Surveillance, communication and trade and order data flows.
• A solid understanding of the Global Regulations relating to Market Abuse, and the financial instruments applicable and their associated data sets.
• Ability to interpret Market Abuse Risk Assessments and identify the data sets required to mitigate the risk articulated.
• Solid IT experience, to ensure data accuracy and completeness, and ensure the correct data flows within surveillance systems.
• Experience in testing, validation, and remediation of control processes.
