Exalto Consulting are recruiting on behalf on a global manufacturing organisation for an IT ERP Cutover Manager. The IT ERP Cutover Manager will be responsible for the strategy, planning, coordinating, and executing all activities related to the cutover phase of the ERP implementation.

This role ensures a seamless transition from Legacy systems to the new ERP
platform, minimising disruptions to business operations.

You will be reporting directly to the IT Programme Director and be expected to travel to 4-5 sites across the UK, as and when needed.

This is a hybrid role initially, with 2 days a week in the office in Cambridge, and occasional visits to sites across the UK.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders involved in the cutover process.
  • Develop and manage the cutover strategy, including planning, execution, and risk mitigation.
  • Define detailed cutover plans, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure a smooth transition and if required update to IT implementation activities.
  • Coordinate across IT, business, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment on cutover activities.
  • Lead cutover rehearsals and mock go-live events to validate the readiness of the system, data, and processes.
  • Monitor and track cutover progress, addressing risks and issues proactively.
  • Ensure a clear "Roll-Back" plans are in place and tested
  • "Disaster Recovery" plans are in place (in the event of a system going down)
  • Define and agree escalation and key contacts for Cut Over.
  • Communicate cutover plans, milestones, and dependencies effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper validation and sign-off processes before go-live.
  • Support post-go-live activities to address any issues and stabilise the system.
  • Maintain documentation of cutover processes, lessons learned, and continuous improvement recommendations for future implementations
  • Ownership of environmental control - define and document environment change process.
  • Define and document for managing code package release windows and associated regression test scope.
  • Work with Data Architect to define, document and deliver the Data Migration strategy.
You need to have experience of;
  • Managing complex, global ERP cutovers involving multiple sites and stakeholders (Manufacturing sector strongly preferred).
  • Working with IT, Business teams and 3rd party vendors.
  • Data migration & Systems Integration.
  • In depth understanding of SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP solutions.
  • Cutover Best Practice, knowledge of structured cutover frameworks.
  • Awareness of how ERP impacts Finance, Supply Chain and Operations.
  • Clear and concise reporting of Cutover progress, risks and issues to senior leadership.
