Job Description

Job Title: IT Implementation Engineer
Location: Hybrid working (Client based in Barlborough)
Contract: Permanent Full Time

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE

Overview:
Our client, a provider of IT support services for businesses, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Technical IT Implementation Engineer. Ideal candidates will possess a strong technical background, particularly in networking and Microsoft Azure. This is a hybrid role, requiring a mixture of time spent on customer visits, in the office, and working remotely.
As an Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and executing your projects from inception through to completion, while directly communicating with your clients and the operations team. Your efforts will ensure a seamless transition to the Service Desk for ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage extensive technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively, ensuring the successful implementation and installation of projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Support Engineers to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during the project
  • Ensure project outcomes meet the client's expectations
  • Provide monthly project pipeline and utilisation data to the operations team

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as an Implementation Engineer is essential
  • Expertise with Microsoft Azure IaaS and AVD is essential
  • Previous experience as an Implementation Engineer is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, virtual environments (VMWare), SQL Server, Microsoft stack, networking, Active Directory, and Antivirus solutions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload calmly, methodically and efficiently
  • PRINCE2 or APM qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Commitment to contributing to the organisation's vision
