Join Our Team as an IT Vendor Manager!Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We're looking for an experienced, passionate, and detail-oriented IT Vendor Manager to lead our Supplier and Contracts team within IT Business Management. This role leads a small team supporting a diverse range of ICT commodity areas, including software license/maintenance agreements, End User Compute agreements, and other ICT contracts.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiencies, negotiate favourable contracts, and implement strategies that deliver significant savings across a range of saving categories. As the IT Vendor Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting service users within the University IT Service and the wider University community, including our support, academic, and student groups. You'll also collaborate closely with external third parties, including suppliers, manufacturers, software developers, and other key external groups.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement processes to manage key contracts and vendors across the NUIT function;
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure the full contract lifecycle is managed in accordance with the University's procedures and legal obligations;
- Offer expert advice on IT-related supplier and contract matters;
- Lead the operation of a structured engagement and management plan for all providers of hardware, software, and services;
- Identify areas for product/service improvement and lead improvement activities;
- Provide input to internal planning, budgeting, documentation, and change control procedures;
- Establish and maintain regular tracking and management reporting;
- Implement and communicate University policies, procedures, and standards;
- Ensure cross-team/core service area collaboration through knowledge sharing;
- Manage, coach, and support team members to achieve high standards.
