Job Description
Banking institution in Belgium is seeking a Freelance Java Developer to join its Channels and Customer Experience team. This is a high-visibility role where you'll contribute to the core banking applications that shape customer interactions across web and mobile platforms.
Logistical Information:
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Belgium (Hybrid - 2 days on-site)
Duration: 12 Months
Day Rate: Negotiable
Languages: English AND French OR Dutch
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain secure, high-performance banking applications using Java & Spring
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and integrate with external data sources
- Work on both backend (Java, Spring) and frontend (mobile applications)
- Ensure code quality through best practices like TDD, Clean Code, and SOLID principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and automation testing
Tech Stack:
- Java Spring Maven REST APIs Git Jenkins SonarQube Docker CI/CD
- Recent experience in the banking sector and Agile environments is highly preferred.
