Then we offer you the opportunity to actively contribute your skills to Unit 58 - Cyber Defense and Information Technology Surveillance and help shape the further development of our team. With your know-how, you will be able to implement projects in close cooperation with colleagues from IT forensics, malware and vulnerability analysis and make a valuable contribution to the cyber security of the Federal Republic of Germany. Your tasks will include the identification, analysis and defense against advanced cyber attacks, incident response to cyber attacks/management of IT security incidents as well as data carrier and network forensics to determine the tactics, techniques and procedures used in attacks. You will also evaluate, analyze and assess detections and security-relevant events. You will generate network and host-based compromise signatures and detection mechanisms and develop these further. Your responsibilities will also include threat hunting, reconnaissance of attacker infrastructures and identification of previously unknown victims, as well as specialist development, operation and maintenance of your own specialized tools and vulnerability analysis of operating systems and complex application software. Requirements profile Completed university degree (Master/Dipl. univ.) in computer science, computer engineering or a comparable computer science-related or technical course of study in-depth specialist knowledge in the areas of network technology, operating systems, malware analysis and cryptography with at least two areas of specialization Several years of professional experience in the field of information technology or IT security Proven experience in the analysis of malware and the creation of signatures Knowledge of at least one high-level language (e.g. C++) and at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Power Shell) German language skills: business fluent in spoken and written (at least level C1) High level of responsibility and motivation Willingness to carry out business trips You have German or EU/EEA citizenship What we offer Long-term predictability - thanks to a secure job in the public sector.
