Job Description
ARE HIRING A JUNIOR PLANNER

Bulk is on an incredible journey, with a mission to move the business from a manufacturing-led retailer to a destination brand for active nutrition. We are shaking up the sports nutrition industry through disruptive marketing campaigns that help people think differently about our brand - and we want you to be a part of it!

We want passionate risk-takers. We want people that like to challenge our thinking. We want people that live and breathe digital and have an affinity to the world of nutrition, health, fitness, and sports.

IN A NUTSHELL

Inventory planning and management is at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for a passionate and analytical individual to join as our Junior Planner.

This data-driven team manages stock planning, purchasing, stock cover management, and website product availability, all while operating within budgeted stock levels. As a growing function with new software to support its expansion, this is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of your category, influence the business, and refine processes to establish a best-in-class operation.

Reporting to our Supply Planner, you will work with the wider Inventory Planning team, including our Demand Planner, Operations, Logistics, and Procurement teams, to maintain the correct levels of stock available for sale in all locations at all times.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Creation and management of a supply plan to ensure third-party goods (stock purchased directly from suppliers) are ordered in alignment with demand, MOQs & supplier lead time, therefore maximising availability to our D2C and Amazon customers.
  • Liaising with suppliers to place orders, confirm shipment dates and lead times, and alter deliveries based on demand on OTB. Collaborate with the internal Procurement and Logistics functions to ensure smooth, timely and cost-effective intake.
  • Control and Ownership of the third party stock in line with budgeted volumes.
  • Utilisation (and continuous improvement!) of our current (Excel) and new planning software (FuturMaster) to deliver best-in-class planning and risk mitigation, including reduction of write-offs and purchasing efficiencies.
  • Identifying and escalating supply issues to our Supply Planner, Demand Planner, and Procurement Manager with suggested mitigation actions.
  • Managing stock levels between UK and Poland distribution centres to ensure sufficient stock vs demand via internal trailers and supplier POs.
  • Support intake and buys of promotional stock and work with Trading and Warehouse teams on free customer gift builds.
  • Working with Sundries Planner to ensure sufficient packaging availability for third-party goods, where required.
  • Managing product lifecycle from new product launches to delists by collaborating with relevant functions such as Trading to ensure smooth execution with minimal sales risk.
  • Other ad-hoc projects and analysis as directed by the Inventory Planning & Procurement management.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You'll have around 2-3 years Inventory / Supply Planning / Merchandising experience in Retail/FMCG environment.
  • Strong data analytics skills, able to produce, interpret, and draw conclusions from data and identify key drivers for performance for your category.
  • Experience with supply planning software (FuturMaster is a bonus but not necessary).
  • Strategic mindset and comfortable being in the details while also being able to think outside the box to move the business forward.
  • Planning and organisation - manages multiple tasks and stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Strong agility, taking responsibility/making decisions in uncertain environments.
  • Adaptable and able to initiate change and evolution in all aspects of the workplace.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Innovative and questioning mindset to instigate and drive change in the 'how' and 'why' we operate.
  • Teamwork - builds a strong sense of community, including working collaboratively and proactively supporting colleagues to achieve organisational goals.
  • Results oriented - focused on getting the job done, decisive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve range performance and profitability.
  • Customer-centric with a desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • IT Skills - high levels of proficiency in MS Office, GSuite, and data platforms such as Tableau.

WHAT ARE THE GAINS?

  • Monthly Bulk Bank Benefits Allowance including a subsidised Gym Membership.
  • A day off to celebrate your Birthday.
  • PerkBox Subscription.
  • 60% discount on all Bulk products.
  • Flexi Start.
  • Additional Annual Leave (optional).
  • Teammate Pension Scheme.
