Junior Software Engineer - C/C++/Java Developer at a Leading FinTech Company

Location: Brussels area, Belgium

Preferred Start Date: ASAP

Contract: 6-month initial contract with the possibility of extension

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day)

Job Description:

The Alliance Interfaces tribe is seeking a Junior Software Engineer - C/C++/Java Developer for their Alliance Access product. As part of a dynamic and highly skilled team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering mission-critical financial software using Agile methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, test, and maintain detailed logic for financial software solutions.
  • Understand and interpret customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the preparation of systems specifications, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to discuss and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues within the organisation.
  • Maintain program libraries and technical documentation.


Qualifications:

  • A university degree in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong foundation in computer science, with proven competencies in object-oriented design, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Java, XML (xsd, xslt), and security technologies.
  • Experience with C/C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems, and experience in developing applications for these platforms.
  • Knowledge of web application testing frameworks such as JUnit and Selenium is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and PL/SQL is an asset.
  • Knowledge of network-related technologies such as TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and HTTP(S) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with development tools and environments, such as IntelliJ, Maven, CLion, CMake, GIT, etc.
