Laboratory Coordinator

Location: BEL - Brussels

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Management: Oversee laboratory equipment from start to finish, including planning installations, conducting validations, and qualifying equipment.
• Deviation Handling: Address all deviations within the lab and ensure a quality-focused mindset. Investigations related to non-conformities will follow the 5M approach.

The team consists of 20 members and values a non-blaming culture.

Working Hours: No regular shifts, but the candidate will need to be on duty after hours and during weekends to validate results and manage temperature alarms. This follows a rotation system (+/- every 8 weeks).

Profile:

• Scientific/medical/paramedical background
• Significant experience in a laboratory environment (familiarity with biomedical methods and analytical techniques), ideally familiar with ISO 17025 or 15189 standards
• Project management skills (mindset), particularly in handling investigations for non-conformities within set timelines
• Ability to translate lab protocols and Phase 1 study protocols into lab manuals and documentation (On-the-job training capabilities)
• Knowledge of internal or external audits is a plus
• Fluency in French and English is required
• Soft skills: Autonomy, taking initiative, team spirit, proactivity.
