Role: Language Specialists - Chechen, Tajik, Dari/Pashto or Somali
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £36,408 with the possibility of an additional payment of £3,120 per annum in recognition of your language skills, subject to successful completion of your probation.
Flexible Working: Full-time, part-time, and compressed hours are possible. Home working is available up to one day per week, but beyond that, it is an office-based role. Remote working from another location is not initially available but may be possible after 18-24 months, at which point you may have the opportunity to work from any of our offices in Cheltenham, London, or Manchester.

As a Language Specialist, you'll bring your knowledge of Chechen, Tajik, Dari/Pashto or Somali to our diverse language community and play a key role in identifying vital intelligence. You'll read, listen to, and review large amounts of language materials and help unlock the bigger picture.
You might be using specialist language tools, carrying out detailed analysis or adding context where it's missing. Your linguistic and cultural insights will be highly valued, directly influencing decision-making processes and contributing to critical outcomes.
To join, you'll need to have proficiency in Chechen, Tajik, Dari/Pashto or Somali to the equivalent of C1 level in reading and listening. Additionally, you should have excellent written English. You might be a graduate with a love of language or someone looking to change careers. You'll be inquisitive, curious and collaborative, and have a deep understanding of the language's culture, traditions, and regions where it is spoken.

Plus, you'll have plenty of opportunities to further your skills and build your career.
