We are seeking a Lead Consultant to help our business go from strength to strength. We have a loyal customer base and a healthy pipeline of executive search assignments. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced 360-degree recruitment expert to join our small but committed team - taking ownership of client and candidate relationships and delivering first-class inclusive search services.

The Role

As a Lead Consultant, you will manage the entire recruitment lifecycle from business development and lead generation to candidate sourcing, assessment and placement.

  • Client acquisition and relationship management: working in our core sectors of civil society, healthcare and/or the creative industries you will build and maintain strong and meaningful relationships with our clients; acting as a trusted advisor and partner throughout the recruitment process.

  • Candidate sourcing: you will proactively identify and attract top-tier senior leadership talent, building strong and diverse networks that enable you to access and attract candidates on behalf of our clients.

  • Candidate assessment: using a range of inclusive approaches you will assess the competencies, skills and leadership experience of applicants, advocating for how and why they match our clients' opportunities.

  • Project delivery: lead the end-to-end recruitment process from client brief to offer management and onboarding. You will ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner with regular consultation and communication between stakeholders.

  • Champion Social Justice: you will be committed to tackling social and racial injustices and be a visible advocate for underrepresented communities at leadership levels. This will mean placing equality, diversity and inclusion in the very centre of all your executive search assignments.

About You

We're looking for an experienced recruitment expert with the following qualities:

  • Successful track record of working in a recruitment firm on assignments for leadership roles and experience of working on multiple and concurrent assignments.

  • Experienced in sourcing and attracting top-tier talent and with strong and well-established networks and profile in one or more of our core sectors - civil society, healthcare and creative industries.

  • Experienced in working at pace with the ability to prioritise and be flexible when needed, both in response to live deadlines and on longer-term projects.

  • Experienced in business development, and client relationship building in a fast-paced consulting environment with high levels of opportunity conversion and customer satisfaction.

  • Experience of responding to client needs including leading briefing meetings, writing client specific search strategies, preparing and delivering pitches and creating compelling proposals.

  • Contributing to and supporting an agile team through upward management.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to deal in a professional manner with candidates and clients.

  • Demonstrably high standards in service delivery and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in respect of the business' processes and systems.

  • Effective in proactively manage own workload and working in conjunction with a wider project team.

  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative and dynamic team, with a proactive and supportive approach to problem-solving.

  • Adept with IT, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, databases, video conferencing.
