Leading Construction Firm - Construction Buyer (Procurement)

Market Leading Construction firm are looking for a Construction Buyer to join their procurement function as a result of the many recent projects they have won. As a construction buyer for this business, you will not only be subject to significant high-profile project based work but have the ability to influence at a strategic procurement level whilst making major strides in your own procurement career.

1. Take ownership of sub-contract procurement on a project based level, navigating through NEC3 & JCT contracts.
2. Have the opportunity to progress into a management position and develop someone in the construction procurement space.
3. Work autonomously to deliver major construction projects in a timely manner for a best-in-class procurement function.
4. Maintain a high level of standards, whilst delivering to pressured time frames of creating and implementing strategic plans.

1. A career with a main infrastructure contractor, showing examples of progression and key achievements within this environment, is ideal; however, other backgrounds will be considered.
2. Some exposure to taking the lead on NEC3 related projects; JCT experience will also be considered.
3. Bachelors / Master's degree (or equivalent); CIPS qualification is preferable however not essential.
4. Ability to work on a project-to-project basis, juggling key stakeholder relations and delivering to strict time frames.
