DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated French-speaking Legal Counsel to join our Group Legal and Compliance Department at EXN headquarters in Boulogne-Billancourt.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our Legal Operations Team, providing comprehensive legal support across various business functions. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigating legal risks, and supporting the company's strategic initiatives.

As the Legal Counsel, you will:

• Perform contract review and analysis and prepare detailed contract risk assessments in compliance with the company's rules and procedures.
• Communicate and partner with internal stakeholders, supporting and guiding them through all phases of the negotiation process, from drafting to execution.
• Engage in legal negotiations with the company's external stakeholders (resellers, vendors, and suppliers as applicable).
• Manage claims and pre-litigation issues that may arise.
• Report to management and escalate issues in a clear and timely manner.
• Engage in company projects for the development of the Group Legal and Compliance department.
• Monitor the industry landscape to keep visibility on evolution, trends, and best practices related to applicable laws and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE About you

The ideal Legal Counsel:

• 3-5 years of higher education (DJCE, Business Law/Contract Law).
• Proven experience in a similar position in a legal department and/or law firm.
• Very good cross-disciplinary knowledge, particularly of business law and contractual techniques. Expertise in IP & IT law will be considered an advantage.
• A team player with strong motivation to learn and develop.
• Excellent knowledge of French and English (both spoken and written).
• Ability to develop awareness and communications at all levels within the group.
