Their expertise spans a range of renewable energy assets, notably solar photovoltaic installations, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and energy efficiency solutions.
We have an exciting opportunity as a Legal Counsel to join our team as we grow our UK business.
Area/Department description
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our global team in the Corporate Department, supporting our businesses.
Your mission
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters related to the renewable energy sector.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including supplier agreements, partnerships, and financing arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with UK and EU energy regulations, data protection laws, and corporate governance requirements.
- Support transactions, acquisitions, and new business ventures by assessing legal risks and structuring deals.
- Liaise with external legal advisors and regulatory bodies when necessary.
- Assist in dispute resolution and claims management.
- Develop internal policies and procedures to align with legal best practices.
Your profile
- Qualified solicitor in the UK with experience in corporate/commercial law and Real estate.
- 5+ years of experience in an in-house legal role or a top-tier law firm, preferably with exposure to the energy or infrastructure sector.
- Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, particularly in renewable energy and environmental law.
- Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
