We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Counsel to join a supportive, encouraging, dynamic, and friendly legal department in a company which values work/life balance, and where a competitive salary and attractive benefits package is on offer for the successful candidate.

We have an exciting new role for an experienced commercial/IT/IP lawyer to mainly support Adobe business in Southwest Region (Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal).

The successful candidate's primary objective will be to act as advisor to, and interface and collaborate with, all levels of our sales community in all countries of Southwest Region and functions within the organization (including the marketing and finance groups) and working with other members of the Legal team.

The position is currently hybrid (3 days a week in the office), with our offices located in Paris, France.

What you'll do

  • Supporting Adobe business in Southwest Region, with a strong focus in Italy and France (role based in Paris).
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of cloud services and software, professional services and other commercial agreements and documents, including sales and licensing agreements as well as DPAs, statements of work, resale, distribution, and consulting agreements.
  • Providing general commercial legal support to the various business units of Southwest region, and preparing and delivering training in-house, when appropriate, on key legal areas of interest.
  • Cooperating and working closely with other legal team members across EMEA and Latin America.
  • Monitoring and advising on regulations and legislation that will impact our business, including AI, FSI and consumer regulations and legislation.
  • Participation in knowledge management and process improvement activities within EMEA, as well as the ability to run and lead departmental projects.
  • Providing legal support to working groups as projects and new work practices are being developed within the business.
  • Providing ongoing support to the business on key risks.

What you'll need to succeed

  • This role is for a Paris-based experienced lawyer with experience in technology companies and with proven academic background who has trained and qualified with a reputable law firm or in-house department of a comparable company (5-8 years of experience).
  • Proficient English, French and Italian (Proficiency in Italian is mandatory). Ability to speak another EU language being a distinct advantage.
  • Experienced in Commercial/IT/IP as well as data protection and artificial intelligence issues, good business sense essential (mandatory).
  • Experience working effectively across business units and internal functions to efficiently resolve business issues.
  • The candidate must be a great business partner and teammate, able to self-start with limited guidance and work independently as well as having a positive, problem solving, and business focused attitude.
  • Practical yet creative problem-solving approach that emphasizes addressing business needs while protecting Adobe's interests.
  • Good communication, drafting and technical skills are essential, as is experience of the software/IT industry.
  • Ability to multi-task, as well as identify and manage risks.
  • International mindset and approach.
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to adapt quickly.
  • Desire to make an impact and build an exciting career with our Legal team.
  • Positive attitude and good sense of humor.
