Library Developer (Java/C#)

We are looking for a highly skilled Library Developer with expertise in Java and C# to join our dynamic team. If you're passionate about working with legacy systems and modernizing them through code porting and development, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Porting Code: Help keep Java and C# libraries in sync by porting code from one language to the other.
• Library Extensions: Extend Java and C# runtime libraries by adding new functionality, typically re-implementing features from legacy systems.
• Custom Plugins: Develop custom plugins (primarily in Java) for existing tools to cater to project-specific requirements.

Must-Haves:

• At least 2 years of professional experience with Java development.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with .NET/C# development.
• Strong understanding of Java versions 8, 11, 17, and 21.
• Familiarity with .NET Framework vs .NET Core and C# versions 8-13.
• A keen interest in learning about legacy technologies, as the libraries often implement functionalities from older systems.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with parser generators like JavaCC, ANTLR v4, or hand-written recursive descent.
• Familiarity with legacy technologies like COBOL, CICS, Natural, IDMS, and VSAM.
• Experience with legacy modernization or migration projects.
