As Logistics Cost Controller you will be reporting to the Manager Controlling Operations, Global Supply Chain, as part of the Food & Beverages Business Group.

Your main accountabilities and responsibilities are:

• Acting as a sparring partner for our Warehousing and Logistic teams, by analyzing, interpreting and advising on financial data and results. You will perform business controlling activities to ensure budgets, actual results and forecasts are appropriately monitored, governed and reported upon;

• Being fully involved in the finance month-close process, to make sure decisions are made based on the right figures;

• Developing monitoring tools and reports for result tracking. This will facilitate the decision making process of the business partners through transparent analyses of financial results, trends, KPI's and other supporting information.

• Support management in risk assessment process and follow-up activities deriving from it;

• Preparing monthly financial outlooks;

• Taking a supporting role in drafting business cases for issues such as capacity optimization and cost savings;

• Contributing to the optimization of financial systems and tools;

• Being involved in a variety of multi-disciplinary improvement projects.

It's important to establishing a relationship with the business partners based on trust, analyses and sound advice to ensure a continuous improvement of performance and safeguarding of Royal FrieslandCampina's (RFC's) assets. Next to this you make sure that the Logistic Costs are accurately, completely and timely recognized and reported in alignment with RFC's accounting manual and Corporate Reporting Guidelines, as part of the monthly/quarterly/annual reporting cycles. Collaboration with the respective FSSC's and PSSC's are considered an integrate part of this governing role. In addition, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach is expected to be embedded in the daily operations, ensuring the Internal Control Framework (ICF) is effectively executed, governed and improved where appropriate.

In summary, it is a role that is all about understanding the products, systems, and markets we operate in. To succeed, you will not only need the ability to analyze data, but also sell the message and put changes into motion. While creating overview, you also will regularly dive deep into the business and use your interpersonal skills to build relationships with, and influence a variety of people. This does require a degree of organizational sensitivity, in addition to an open and persuasive manner of communicating.

The scope of the Logistic Costs includes - but is not limited to -:

• Cost of the RFC owned warehouses and distribution centers, including labor costs, depreciation, maintenance, utilities, etc

• Cost of the external warehouses and distribution centers (3rd party), based on contracts agreed upon by Procurement

• Cost of OTD, Customs, RTI's, Cheps, pallets, etc

• Overhead costs, including the labor costs, within the Global Supply Chain

• Corporate charges

• Other operating results, including efficiency results, subcontracting results, etc.

• Govern the logistical tariffs, calculations and charge model, relevant to the 7 business groups within RFC

• Supporting the business partners will also involve activities regarding requests for CAPEX, sustainable improvements and savings initiatives.

To be a successful in this position, you are/have:

• Masters in accounting or finance, or similar knowledge level gained through working experience;

• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in an international organization or larger Consultancy / Audit Firm;

• Proven knowledge and experience in managing risk and internal control, process improvements, finance and accounting;

• Strong knowledge and experience in IT systems and controls, segregation of duties, end-to-end business processes;

• Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills, hands-on, accurate, pro-active and result oriented;

• Effective at dealing with people at all levels (interpersonal skills);

• Willingness to travel both national and international for short term programs (e.g. up to two weeks);

• Enjoy working in teams, with an inclusive mindset.
