Loss Control Specialist

Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share and full-time basis.

Home based with some travel throughout the UK.

The opportunity:

This is an exciting development opportunity to work within our Zurich Resilience Solutions, Loss Control Practice as a Loss Control Specialist. The Loss Control Practice delivers dynamic risk assessments, support with loss prevention strategies, data insights and training and education in collaboration with our customers across several areas of risk management.

This is an ideal role for an individual looking for a new and exciting challenge. You will enjoy a varied, challenging and rewarding diet of work, working within an experienced and high performing function whilst taking on the challenge of building new propositions and opportunities in the retail and mid-market arena. Our customer portfolio is diverse spanning public and private sector and a broad range of industry.

You will be developing your skills and knowledge to become a Loss Control Specialist across different areas of risk such as Property, Motor, Liability, Cyber and Climate.

What will you be doing?

1. Support the delivery of a range of engagements to help our customers enhance their organisational resilience, including gap analysis and health checks, training and dynamic risk assessments.
2. Production of high-quality professional reports providing best practice advice to customers.
3. Collaborating with customers to identify, develop and deliver risk management solutions.
4. Develop business opportunities in relation to the growth of fee income.
5. Promote risk management advice and best practice through Broker partner engagements and Zurich media channels.
6. Complete research into technical areas and provide the latest information for colleagues, other stakeholders and clients.
7. Development of effective, productive relationships with colleagues and customers.

1. Expertise in risk management and organisational resilience.
2. Eagerness to learn and develop technical knowledge and risk management practices across multiple areas of risk.
3. An enquiring mind being able to probe logically to establish key risk information.
4. People centric being able to build strong and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Confidence to engage at Senior Leadership Team levels.
6. Creative mind-set with a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone.
7. A dedicated team player with a "can-do" approach to their work.
8. A professional certification from bodies such as the IRM, BCI will be advantageous.
9. Experience of working in/with a variety of industries and sectors.
