Job Description
M&E Operations Manager

HAYS are recruiting an M&E Operations Manager, you will oversee the management of the overall operations of M&E installations and the Service & Maintenance department for a high-end residential project. This includes essential labour management duties, quality and safety control, and ensuring the project meets its strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    Plan, manage, and control M&E projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead and manage a team of engineers and contractors, providing training and support to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Quality Control:
    Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure all work meets the required standards.
  • Safety Management:
    Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Client Liaison:
    Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Budget Management:
    Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
  • Subcontractor Coordination:
    Oversee the work of subcontractors, ensuring they meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including progress reports, safety records, and financial documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education:
    Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5 years' experience in M&E project management, preferably in high-end residential projects.
  • Skills:
    Strong leadership and organisational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in project management software.
  • Certifications:
    Relevant certifications in project management and health and safety are desirable.
