Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Mainframe Systems Engineer to work at a leading global consultancy client on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will work within a large infrastructure support team and will provide expert guidance with regards to the automation of current Mainframe services and how they interact with other systems.

Responsibilities include:

- Delivering automation at the quality and pace warranted by the business.

- Administer and support the Mainframe System Automation OPS/MVS product

- Ensuring delivery to the customer while adhering to established global standards and best practice.

- Work closely with the stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions as agreed.

Experience required:

- A background in infrastructure support, including an expert knowledge of Mainframe systems and related automation processes.

- Previous experience with OPS/MVS software products

- Experience using Broadcom Mainframe software

- Ability to code/script using OPS/REXX programming language.

- Understanding of GDPS concept in production is preferred.

- Experience of providing production support and troubleshooting for IBMz Mainframe systems.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- A team player, who also has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
