Principal Major Projects Commercial Lawyer - Up to £65 per hour Umbrella - 9 Month Initial Contract - Remote/Hybrid - Midlands based Local Authority

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Commercial Lawyer (Major Projects) to join a well-regarded local authority on a long-term locum basis. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile commercial projects that will shape the future of the region.

The Role:

• Position: Principal Commercial Lawyer (Major Projects)
• Rate: Up to £65 per hour Umbrella, Dependent on experience
• Duration: Initial 9-month contract, with potential for extension
• Location: Fully remote working available, hybrid welcomed
• Hours: Full-time or part-time considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on complex, high-value Commercial projects
• Providing strategic legal guidance on major Property and Planning matters
• Negotiating and drafting high-level commercial agreements
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders across the Council and external partners

About You:

• A highly experienced Principal Commercial Lawyer with a strong track record in major projects
• Experience in local government or public sector work is highly desirable
• Exposure to Property and Planning law would be advantageous
