Management Accountant - Maritime Technology & Intelligence (Hybrid)

The Opportunity:

As Management Accountant at Pole Star Global, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial statements. We are looking for a confident and collaborative candidate with some supervisory experience, as this role will oversee three assistant accountants globally in addition to being responsible for the month-end process that will be reviewed by the financial controller on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and work closely with the three Assistant Management Accountants globally.
• Oversee the day-to-day & month-end close process, review balance sheet reconciliations, whilst ensuring accuracy throughout.
• Manage the monthly intercompany matrix, payroll reconciliation, and R&D matrix.
• Work closely with HR and relevant departments to address any payroll-related issues.

Month-End Close:

• Ensure the Month End Close is complete in each region, whilst providing assistance when required, and looking into any variances.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies & streamline processes.

Financial Reporting:

• Preparing timely and accurate financial statements for review & ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Audit Coordination:

• Be involved with global level audits, with an expectation to liaise with external auditors during annual audits, whilst ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
• Address audit queries, whilst ensuring all relevant information is provided in a timely manner.

Financial Systems Enhancement:

• Contribute to the improvement of financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements to ensure the adoption of best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Experience with SAP One would be a plus.

Education Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
