Management Accountant

Your new company

We are delighted to be working on behalf of a not-for-profit company in Falkirk who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a temporary contract basis. This contract is a 4-month contract initially with a possibility for extension. Our client is a community-based organisation with a strong values-based approach, offering a good work-life balance and progression opportunities. The Management Accountant will be working a 35-hour working week offering £24,000 - £27.00 per hour. This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week working in the office.

Your new role

The Management Accountant will be responsible for the provision of monthly management accounts with associated commentary and analysis. This role will include assisting business partnering activities, working with various stakeholders to help them understand numbers and budget vs costs. You will be responsible for assisting with month-end, fixed asset accounting and reporting on key monthly deliverables. Use of Excel will be key to providing presentation of data, including pivots and look-ups. Additionally, you will look at budgeting and forecasting and highlighting variances as appropriate to steer decision-making.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced hands-on Accountant with experience in a similar Management Accounting role, from supporting with accruals, prepayments and variance analysis to month-end duties. Good reporting and analysis skills are key here, alongside a positive approach to continuous improvement and analysis.
