Overview of the role

This will be a newly created role and will be fundamental to the build out of an efficient and effective financial reporting team. Reporting into the financial controller, this role will focus on the delivery of internal and external financial reporting while business partnering very closely with the FP&A team. The reporting function is evolving quickly and will continue to do so as LIV Golf grows and thrives. There will be ample learning and development opportunities, and this role needs someone who is comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing.

Responsibilities

Internal Reporting:

• Accurate and timely monthly departmental management accounts
• Assist with commentary in the monthly management pack
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations (Key being accruals, prepayments, deferred income)
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Run system FX revaluations
• Maintain the fixed asset register within Dynamics
• Management of Assistant Management Accountant (not immediately)
• Review of work prepared by Assistant Management Accountant
• Responsibility for reclassifications / recharges
• Business partner with relevant teams on new contracts and assess reporting impact
• Assist with set-up of international branches and accounting for these
• Prepare technical accounting papers with support of the FC
• Form a key role in evolving and refining business processes
• Other ad hoc tasks as required

External Reporting:

• Assist the FC with the preparation of the financial statements for company and group
• Assist with the annual audit process
• Prepare supporting schedules for the audit process
• Prepare ONS surveys for review
• Ad hoc external reporting

Experience

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Ideal first or second move from practice
• Some management accounts experience highly desirable
• Preparation / review of balance sheet reconciliations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics currently in place)
• Excellent Excel skills
• Dealing with foreign branches highly desirable
• Ability to handle and interpret large data sets
• Process and control update / improvement
