Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our MMB team at Mercer. This role will be based in Hong Kong. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Work in conjunction with the Hong Kong Broking and Consulting teams to secure new business revenue from new clients.
  • Sourcing new prospects, developing ongoing relationships and securing new business across health and benefits including Healthcare, Wellness, Life assurance broking and consulting appointments.
  • Consult upon and sell our digital solutions from MMB's employee benefits technology proposition.
  • Reporting into the Sales Leader & Health Leader, work with the sales/business development team to develop and execute strategies for new business penetration, with the purpose of gaining broking market share in Hong Kong.
  • Evaluating existing sales practices and processes to enhance delivery and produce results.
  • Arranging new business meetings, creating and leading sales pitches.
  • Leading and closing complex sales, tenders and RFP/RFQ projects.
  • Researching market trends and industry updates, for the purpose of building market credibility and knowledge.
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure trust and long-term relationships conducive to new business activity.
  • Cultivating positive interactions and relationships with team members, leaders and managers, and across other Mercer business lines to evaluate sales strategy, results and execution.
  • Coaching junior team members towards sales activity and reaching sales targets.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree ideally in Business Administration, Management, or Finance (but not strictly required to be in these fields).
  • At least 4-5 years of relevant sales or business development experience ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Strong communication skills when liaising with different categories of potential clients/internal stakeholders.
  • Good numerical accuracy.
  • Value teamwork, strong collaboration, individual performance, and personal success.
  • Proven ability to drive results while working under tight deadlines.
