About The Role:

We seek an exceptional Managing Editor to spearhead Vixio's market-leading analysis of regulatory changes affecting the global gambling industry. This pivotal role will be responsible for orchestrating industry-shaping thought-leadership that anticipates, interprets, and contextualises regulatory changes across all regions globally.

Requirements:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive editorial strategy that strengthens Vixio's position as the premier thought leader on regulatory and policy developments in the global gambling industry.
  2. Champion a deep, nuanced understanding of emerging regulatory trends and their strategic implications.
  3. Create frameworks for transforming complex regulatory data into high-value, actionable intelligence.
  4. Act as an advisor to other senior leaders within Vixio to inform new research, product development, and marketing initiatives.
  5. Serve as an external voice for Vixio's thought leadership to wider media, conferences, and in other appropriate forums.

Content and Insight Excellence:

  1. Drive the creation of unique, forward-looking content that goes beyond reporting to provide strategic foresight.
  2. Establish and uphold vigorous editorial standards that ensure unparalleled depth, accuracy, and predictive value.
  3. Collaborate across functions to create integrated, multi-channel content strategies that deliver transformative insights combining journalism, legal research, and data.
  4. Lead by example through impactful journalism and thought leadership.

Team Leadership and Capability Development:

  1. Nurture a high-performance editorial team capable of maintaining consistent standards while implementing new ideas quickly and effectively.
  2. Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, intellectual curiosity, and innovative thinking.
  3. Coach and develop journalists and editors to become world-class performers in business intelligence.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 5 years leading editorial or content teams in regulatory, compliance, or B2B information services.
  2. Razor-sharp editing skills and demonstrable ability to adhere to industry-leading editorial standards.
  3. Expert subject matter knowledge of the global gambling regulatory landscape with a clear understanding of key regulatory trends and their impact on industry stakeholders.
  4. An established network within the gambling sector, including but not limited to legal and regulatory experts.
  5. Proven track record of developing innovative approaches to journalistic content creation.
  6. Exceptional ability to translate complex regulatory information into strategic insights.
  7. Strong executive presence with the credibility to engage at all organisational levels.
  8. Advanced analytical skills with a demonstrated capacity to 'connect the dots.'
