MDU Build Engineers

For over 35 years, The Kelly Group has been a trusted principal contractor, delivering exceptional engineering solutions. We're now seeking a highly skilled MDU Build Engineer to join our team and work on a prestigious Openreach contract.

Your Role:

As a key member of our expert team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality fibre installations within multi-dwelling units (MDUs). Your experience will shine as you:

1. Lead Fibre Installations: Run internal fibre from the telecoms network entry point to all floors of the building, ensuring seamless connections and efficiency.
2. Technical Expertise: Terminate fibres into RDT (Riser Distribution Terminals) and breakout boxes, managing both internal and external cabling to the highest standard.
3. Ensure Compliance: Complete installations in full accordance with fire safety regulations, including fire stopping for internal cabling.
4. Work from Plans: Read, interpret, and execute building surveys and plans to deliver precise installations, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction at every stage.
5. Advanced Fibre Techniques: Install Blown Fibre Tubing (BFT), blow fibre, test rod and rope underground cable routes, and perform splicing and testing of optical fibres in line with stringent quality standards.

What We Need:

We're looking for a professional who can bring technical expertise and an unwavering commitment to quality. Ideal candidates will have:

1. Extensive MDU Experience: Proven experience working within multi-dwelling units, with the ability to manage complex fibre installations.
2. Technical Proficiency: Comfortable working with telecom test equipment and interpreting technical plans.
3. Safety and Compliance Knowledge: Familiar with working at heights and within underground networks, ensuring all installations meet regulatory standards.
4. Full UK Driving License: Held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
