£41/£43 FCSA Umbrella (this role is inside IR35)
Hybrid available (min 3 days pw onsite in Peterborough)

Mechanical Design Engineer with experience of Engine, Transmission, Mechanisms or similar rotating equipment (Pumps or similar would be considered with Creo experience) design work required for a 12 months contract based in Peterborough.

Hybrid working available, likely to be required on site a minimum of 3 days pw, some working from home available.

Duties include:

1. CAD Modelling & Design of components and assemblies.
2. Completion of component and group drawings.
3. Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.
4. Involving other engineers and technical resources to address detailed technical problems.
5. Working with a global team that requires virtual collaboration.
6. Working with design resources and suppliers to rapidly implement design changes.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Working knowledge of solid modelling (ideally CREO and Teamcenter - although most 3D Packages will be considered & time given to come up to speed).
2. Complex Rotating Components & Machinery, Whole System Mechanisms Automotive experience.
3. Understanding of design for manufacturing / design for assembly philosophies.
4. Engineering degree or HND with experience.
5. Capable of working as part of a team collaborating with colleagues in different geographies.
6. Must be on site a couple of days a week, but work from home is available.

This role is inside IR35, and the umbrella pay rate is between £41 - £43ph.
PAYE available £30-£32.50ph depending upon experience and qualifications.
